DIY canvas

Spring Décor
Spring is finally approaching soon! I came across this cute Free Printable and thought it would make a cute canvas! Plus It's chalkboard and we know my obsession with this!  This project is fun and easy and pretty cheap to make! This printable is 8x10 and I happened to have a canvas at home. These canvas generally run under $7 at any craft store and you can usually use a coupon. I printed out my picture and let the ink fully dry. Once dried I painted modge podge over my blank canvas

Supplies:
Canvas size of your photo
Modge Podge + sponge brush for your glue
Black Paint + I cut a piece of sponge to dab my paint for the edges
Photo of your choice

Carefully lay your photo down use an old credit card to help prevent any bubbles under your photo. This is the hardest part and It never fails I always have bubbles! I can usually soften the bubbles out. Your paper becomes very fragile once you lay your glue over so be very careful to prevent any tears in your paper. Paint your glue all over your photo, It will dry clear. Once photo is dry I cut a piece of old sponge and dip it in black paint and I sponge all the corners of my photo to give it a finishing touch. Plus this photo is a chalkboard print so the painted edges gives it a vintage look.  (this also will help cover any bubble spots you might have.)
And there you go, don't pay a crazy amount at the store for a photo when you make exactly what you want!
